¹Đây là dòng dõi của Ađam. Trong ngày mà Thiên Chúa dựng nên loài người, thì Ngài dựng nên họ giống Thiên Chúa;

The descendants of Adam

¹This is the account of Adam’s descendants. When God created Adam he made him in the likeness of God;

²Ngài dựng nên họ người nam và người nữ, Ngài chúc lành cho họ, và gọi họ là “người” ngay ngày họ được tạo dựng.

²male and female he created them; he blessed them and called them Man on the day they were created.

³Khi ông Ađam thọ một trăm ba mươi tuổi thì sinh một con trai giống ông, đặt tên là Seth.

³Adam was a hundred and thirty years old when he became father of a son born in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth.

⁴Sau khi ông Ađam sinh ông Seth, ông còn sống được tám trăm năm, sinh con trai con gái.

⁴After the birth of Seth, Adam lived for eight hundred years and had other sons and daughters.

⁵Vậy, ông Ađam hưởng thọ chín trăm ba mươi tuổi, rồi qua đời.

⁵Altogether Adam lived nine hundred and thirty years; then he died.

⁶Khi ông Seth được một trăm năm tuổi, ông sinh ông Ênosh.

⁶When Seth was a hundred and five, he became father of Enosh.

⁷Sau khi ông Seth sinh ông Ênosh rồi, còn sống được tám trăm bảy năm, sinh con trai con gái.

⁷After the birth of Enosh, Seth lived eight hundred and seven years. He had other sons and daughters.

⁸Vậy, ông Seth hưởng thọ chín trăm mười hai tuổi, rồi qua đời.

⁸Altogether Seth lived nine hundred and twelve years; then he died.

⁹Khi Ông Ênosh được chín mươi tuổi thì sinh ông Kênan.

⁹When Enosh was ninety years old, he became the father of Kenan.

¹⁰Sau khi sanh ông Kênan rồi, ông Ênosh còn sống được tám trăm mười lăm năm, sinh con trai con gái.

¹²Ông Kênan được bảy mươi tuổi, sinh ông Mahalalel.

¹³Sau khi sinh ông Mahalalel rồi, ông Kênan còn sống được tám trăm bốn mươi năm, sinh con trai con gái.

¹³After the birth of Mahalalel, Kenan lived eight hundred and forty years, and he had other sons and daughters.

¹⁴Vậy, ông Kênan hưởng thọ chín trăm mười tuổi, rồi qua đời.

¹⁵Ông Mahalalel được sáu mươi lăm tuổi, sinh ông Giared.

¹⁵When Mahalalel was sixty-five, he became the father of Jared.

¹⁶Sau khi ông Mahalalel sinh ông Giared rồi, còn sống được tám trăm ba mươi năm, sinh con trai con gái.

¹⁶After that, Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years, and had other sons and daughters.

¹⁷Vậy, ông Mahalalel hưởng thọ tám trăm chín mươi lăm tuổi, rồi qua đời.

¹⁷All the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; then he died.

¹⁸Ông Giared được một trăm sáu mươi hai tuổi, sinh ông Ênoch.

¹⁸When Jared was a hundred and sixty-two, he became father of Enoch.

¹⁹Sau khi ông Giared sinh ông Ênoch rồi, còn sống được tám trăm năm, sinh con trai con gái.

²⁰Vậy, ông Giared hưởng thọ chín trăm sáu mươi hai tuổi, rồi qua đời.

²¹Ông Enóc được sáu mươi lăm tuổi, sinh ông Mêthushêla.

²¹When Enoch was sixty-five, he became father of Methuselah.

²²Sau khi ông Ênoch sinh ông Mêthushêla rồi, ông ra đi cùng Thiên Chúa ba trăm năm, đã có con trai con gái.

²²After the birth of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and he had other sons and daughters.

²³Vậy ông Ênoch hưởng thọ ban trăm sáu mươi lăm tuổi.

²⁴After Enoch had walked with God, he disappeared because God took him up.

²⁵Ông Mêthushêla được một trăm tám mươi bảy tuổi, sinh ông Lamech.

²⁶Sau khi sinh ông Lamech rồi, Mêthushêla còn sống được bảy trăm tám mươi hai năm, sinh con trai con gái.

²⁶After the birth of Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and he had other sons and daughters.

²⁷Vậy, ông Mêthushêla hưởng thọ chín trăm sáu mươi chín tuổi, rồi qua đời.

²⁷In all Methuselah lived nine hundred and sixty-nine years; then he died.

²⁸Ông Lamech được một trăm tám mươi hai tuổi, sinh một trai,

²⁹Và ông đặt tên là Noe, mà nói rằng, “Đứa bé này sẽ đem đến cho chúng ta sự an ủi vì những lao công vất vả ta phải chịu vì đất mà Đức Giavê đã chúc dữ.”

²⁹and named him Noah, for he said, “He will console us in the hard toil and suffering of our hands, because of the soil that was cursed by Yahweh.

³⁰Sau khi sanh ông Noe rồi, ông Lamech còn sống được năm trăm chín mươi lăm năm, sinh con trai con gái.

³⁰After the birth of Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and he had other sons and daughters.

³¹Vậy, ông Lamech hưởng thọ bảy trăm bảy mươi bảy tuổi, rồi qua đời.

³¹In all Lamech lived seven hundred and seventy-seven years; then he died.

³²Còn ông Noe, khi đến năm trăm tuổi, sinh Shem, Ham và Giapheth.

³²When Noah was five hundred years old, he became the father of Sem, Ham and Japheth.
